Beer Bars

A list of the best bars in the Greater Palm Springs area that are “Coachella Valley Craft Certified”

To be considered “craft certified” a bar must have a sizable amount of craft beers, or have the majority of its taps committed to craft.

Yard House

While Yard House does seem heavily favorable towards big business and big brands, their 180 tap handles does also mean a vast diversity of craft brews. Craft fans still have a wide selection to choose from. Check them out for happy hour where alongside great, well-priced food, all beers are discounted.

Babe’s Bar-B-Que & Brewhouse

The valley’s oldest brewery and currently only brewpub. To call it a brewpub is unfair because they’re a top scale BBQ restaurant. In addition to their house beers, they’ve got a good selection of house taps and bottles.

Great food selection and a few unique craft choices, especially Stone seasonals. They do once monthly tap takeovers and their happy hour is a great deal.

The Beer Hunter

Dropped behind about a decade ago as it stuck with the popular brands over craft. Glad to see their menu greatly improved recently, especially with its commitment to IPA’s.

Bubba’s Bones & Brews [Featured]

Very new BBQ style diner. Great selection of craft for such a small place.

Tap in Tap Room / Whole Foods [Featured]

Something of a surprise, but the Whole Foods food court has an excellent bar with about 20 beers on tap – mostly craft. You can buy a beer in store and enjoy it there too.
