La Fe Wine Bar joins the CV Beer Scene with its first brewery takeover
La Fe Wine Bar has been on our radar for some time. But they officially became part of the local craft beer conversation last night with their first brewery takeover. It was a night of Fall Brewing beers, offering beers by the glass or taster flights.
La Fe opened a little over a year ago on El Paseo, in Palm Desert. Co-owned by Richard Rayos and German Samayoa, it’s a wine bar very much in the style of some of the more progressive San Diego and Los Angeles concepts. With a creative tapas menu, they’ve been featuring weekly wine events as well as a steady rotation of craft beer.
Last night was their first official craft beer event. And with Fall Brewing they started on strong ground. Fall Brewing is well-reputed San Diego company, that just seems to be getting a start out here in the Coachella Valley. Tastings included: Plenty for All, Magical & Delicious, Green Hat IPA, and Crystal Mess.
German, who got into craft beer as a bartender at Yard House and Babe’s BBQ & Brewhouse, told me that this is just the beginning of something they’ll be looking to do on a regular basis. Definitely much more for us to look forward to and talk about.
